Here is a gift idea for the bookworms in your life: BookSwim.  This online service is very similar to Netflix, but for books.  With BookSwim, you rent your books online (how many at a time is depending on the plan that you choose) and they come directly to your door.  When you are done, just mail them back in the provided packaging and then your next set of books (similar to the “Instant Queue”) will arrive.  There are no late fees or due dates.

I was given a free trial of this service to test out and everything seems to be working without a hitch.  Personally, I don’t have that much time to read so I haven’t been able to fully take advantage of the service.  I was surprised at the number of new releases available for rental, and how easy it was.  There are many beauty books, fashion books, and other style guides for the intellectual fashionista.

If you love reading but don’t have time to get to the library and don’t want to waste money buying books you’re only going to read one time, this may be good for you.   There are tons of new releases, best sellers, and even some hard-to-find books on the site.  Additionally, if you really want to keep a book that you receive, you can purchase your copy directly from BookSwim at a discount.
